Now in our 13th year of competition, we have a well-established reputation for encouraging, supporting and providing a platform for debut novelists. We select and work closely with experienced literary agents who are as dedicated as us about finding new voices, and invite them to help us judge your work. 

Each year, we receive hundreds of entries from all over the world, and we are very proud that so many of our listees have gone on to secure agent representation and publication. Successes include Elizabeth Macneal’s The Doll Factory, Alex Hay’s The Housekeepers, Emilia Hart’s Weyward and Sue Divin’s Guard Your Heart, which was shortlisted for the 2022 Yoto Carnegie Medal.
